Wishful Thinking Christians

This is the seventh post in the series from Matthew 8:28-34, 9:18-28; Mark 5:1-43, 6:1-6, and Luke 8:26-56, to show when Jesus speaks people and situations change to fit His plan, purpose, and timing.

Jesus spoke to the demons in the possessed man and the demons obeyed Jesus, so the man’s emotions, mind, and will (his soul) was completely clear, for Mark 5:15 says, “Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind”, thus, those who owned the pigs and those who tended the pigs were fearful of Jesus, for their 2,000 pigs died in the water, because of some “impossible, witchcraft story”. For all they understood was all the money Jesus had taken from them; thus, they did not want Jesus in their community anymore, but their love for money had blinded their eyes, so they could not see the demon-possessed man free of demons, clothed, and sitting at Jesus’ feet in his right mind.

Jesus says in John 6:60-65, after many who heard Him symbiotically say people must eat His flesh and drink His blood if they want to have eternal life and be raised to life in the last days, for the words Jesus speaks are Spirit and life; thus, the Holy Spirit gives enabling life to whatever Jesus says.

Therefore, when Jesus spoke to the 2,000 satanic, unclean, demonic spirits within the man, the Holy Spirit immediately placed in them “the fear of the Lord”, so they began to beg to go into the pigs instead of into the eternal lake of fire, for Satan and all the demon spirits already know their eternity is in the lake of fire; thus, they want to take as many human beings with them as possible, in just the same way “active shooters” know there is a good possibility they will be killed, but they want to kill as many innocent people, especially children, as is possible.

When Jesus spoke to Jairus that He would come home with him, lay His hands on his dead daughter, so she would be healed and resurrect from the demon spirit of death, and speak again to Jairus to strengthen his faith in Jesus, when he got the news, his daughter was already dead, so no reason now to bother Jesus, not knowing what bothers people, bothers Jesus until it is fixed.

When the woman with the twelve-year blood flow, touched Jesus’ clothes, just enough power to immediate heal her went out of Jesus into her, and they both knew it because the transfer was felt by both; which is what Romans 8:12-17 says the witness of the Holy Spirit is, when we feel Him making real to us that we are now a legal child and heir of God and Jesus, for until we receive His felt witness, guaranteeing our salvation, then we are only guessing in wishful thinking, we are a Christian, and this is why these “wishful thinkers” most times never get grounded in faith, so their knowledge and wisdom are “spiritual”, but rather it is more fixed on lust for the world’s ways instead of “focused” on the will of God, through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit.

Mark 6:1-6 reveals just how easily “wishful thinking Christians” are easily offended by the truth of Scripture, and why they rudely and arrogantly show disbelief by arguing scriptural truth they know nothing about, for 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 tells us only the spiritual mind understands spiritual things, for unless we have Christ’s mind, His knowledge and wisdom, our natural mind is dead to the understanding of spiritual truths, yet we believe we come to Jesus in salvation and forgiveness of sins by the natural mind of doing and saying how church doctrines dictates salvation.

God’s way of salvation, forgiveness of sins, and a close, daily, loving, peaceful relationship with God, through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, is knowing the Scriptures, believing, and obeying them.
