Lawlessness Will Make Our Love Grow Cold

Tim Nabors, our second son, authored this by telephone, giving daddy the honor of typing it.

Today’s news warns about the toxic smoke coming from the wildfires in Canada, making the air quality hazardous to anyone remaining outside for an extended period of time; therefore, some states are asking the residents to remain inside, with the air conditioning on and the windows closed, unless it is essential to be outside.

Canada has reported some of the worst wildfires on record; thus, other nations are sending fire fighters to Canada, to help control the fires, and people are praying for rain in Canada, as well as here in the USA, for we are under a moderate drought.

These fires along with the drought are more serious than most people understand, for when we seriously think about these fires in Canada and other states, and will become worldwide when, according to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Christ Jesus comes to midair to call His bride-body-church to come up where He is, to be forever with Him, and Christian pilots leave their cockpits of fully loaded passenger planes, to go be with Christ Jesus, leaving the plane to crash into homes, businesses, or schools; thus, families left behind will not know if their family member went up the meet the Lord or if they are alive or dead in the fiery crash.

And think of all the cars and trucks going down the many highways, when those Christian drivers and passengers leave the vehicles to go up to be with the Lord, and fiery crashes happen worldwide, with family members left behind, to wonder if they are with Christ or alive somewhere mingled among the wreckage.

Seriously reading 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, we know the coming of the Lord to midair to call His bride-body-church, to come up where He is to be forever with Him, will not happen until the falling away happens first. But what if the falling away is not only people who claim to be Christians, members of Christ’s body, the church, deciding to live opposite from how God in His word tells us to live; that would be a falling away from Christian and biblical commands?

But what if in agreement with Matthew 24:3-14, but especially verse 12 that says, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold”, so in agreement with Galatians 5:1-6, but especially verse 6 that says, “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love”; thus, when people’s love grows cold, their faith becomes nonexistent, which agrees with the question Jesus asked in Luke 18:1-8, but especially in verse 8 that says, “I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

” No”, is the answer to Jesus’ question, for when He comes to midair to call His bride-body-church, to come up where He is to be forever with Him, if He does not find love for God and people on earth, then He will not find faith on earth, for faith is dead, useless, and nonexistent if it does not have love to work through.

Satan does not need to get people’s faith, if he can get people to stop loving God and others, their faith becomes dead, useless, nonexistent, and according to Romans 5:1-2, we cannot have peace with God nor get into the grace that John 1:17 says, came through Jesus Christ; thus, we cannot, according to Hebrews 11:6, please God without faith that works through love. Likewise, 1 Corinthians 13:2 says, “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing”.

If this is what the falling away is, and in agreement with 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, but especially verse 3 that says, “ Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition”, for verse 6 says, “And now you know what is restraining (holding the man of sin back from being revealed), that he may be revealed in his own time”; thus, after the falling away, the man of sin will not be revealed until the time God set for it to happen, and then at God’s preset time, Christ will come to midair to call His bride-body-church, to come up where He is, to be forever with Him.

This, then is when fiery chaos of plane crashes, vehicles crashing, people disappearing from their electrical work, gas work, weapons testing, and whatever else is going on “as usual” in the world.
