The New King James Version explains Isaiah 53:10-11 this way, 10 Yet it pleased the Lord (God) to bruise Him (Jesus); He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed (Christians, members of Christ’s body, the worldwide church), He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord (God) shall prosper in His hand. 11 He (Jesus) shall see the labor of His soul and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities (sins).
The New King James Version explains Romans 14:21-23 this way, 21 It is good neither to eat meat or drink wine or do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak. 22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.
The New King James Version explains John 16:7-9 this way, 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Holy Spirit) will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict (convince) the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me.
If we read these three Scripture passages, we learn this truth: Jesus paid the full price for all our sins; thus, when He sees us willing to believe, receive, and obey Him, He is pleased with His suffering, but when He sees us refusing to believe, receive, and obey Him, it breaks His heart, for sin is refusing to believe, receive, and obey Jesus, which is not faith but rebellion, and rebellion against Jesus is sin, and it saddens Him and likewise Christians who are members of His body.
When, as Christians, we have a close, active, sweet, peaceful relationship with Jesus, the resurrected Christ, the Head of His body, the worldwide church, we as members of His body, the worldwide church, feel what He, the Head feels; therefore, people’s sins break our heart and we cry uncontrollable, because we feel what Jesus feels, so we know the only solution to that person’s sin problem, is for us to cry out in prayer, praise, thanks, and worship, by giving them to Jesus and totally trusting them to Him.
The New King James Versions explains Luke 11:5-8 this way, 5 And He (Jesus) said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7 and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? 8 I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
Because of people’s persistent sins, Christians must also be persistent in our prayers, praise, thanks, worship, and trusting them to Jesus, knowing He alone has the authority and power to change them from sinner to Christian, so they become a faithful member of His body, the worldwide church, loving Him and telling people about Him and His persistent goodness.
The greater the problem, the more prayer, praise, thanks, worship, and trust in Jesus it will take for Him to fix the problem, so He and we are satisfied with the outcome, whatever it may be, so do not quit, get discouraged and give up on the Holy Spirit to convince them Jesus is their answer, so they reach their breaking point, and come running humble and repentant to Him for salvation.
