Daniel, in 1:6-7, and his three friends from Jerusalem, Israel, had their Hebrew names changed to Babylonian (Chaldean) names: Hananiah was changed to Shadrach; Mishael to Meshach, and Azariah to Abed-Nego. And in Daniel 3 when King Nebuchadnezzar had a gold statue set up in the plan of Dura, one of the provinces of Babylon, and commanded everyone to fall down and worship the gold image, when the music began, or be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; however, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, did not fall down and worship the gold image at any time during the music, which enrage the jealous Chaldeans and King Nebuchadnezzar; therefore, he had the furnace heated seven-times hotter than normal, and had some of his best soldiers bind Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah with ropes, and cast them into the burning furnace, proving the fire was real and deadly, but when Jesus, God’s Son, stepped into the fiery furnace with them, the only thing the blazing fire did, was consume the ropes binding them, for in Christ Jesus, the blazing furnace did not in any way affect these Israelites, totally committed to God.
God gave us this miraculous testimony to prepare His people, Christians, members of Christ’s body, the worldwide church, so God’s people, could read Revelation 8; Revelation 20, and Revelation 21, and know when God sends fire with fervent heat to consume the present earth and heaven, God’s people who are still on earth after Christ’s thousand-year reign, from King David’s throne at Jerusalem, Israel, and after Satan and his evil forces are cast into the lake of fire, the fire will only deliver God’s people from all sin and evil that originated in the old heaven and old earth, so in eternity God’s people will only know Him as our love, joy, peace, blessings, and all God is, in the new heaven and new earth.
Revelation 16 reveals what happens to the people on earth just before He sends the fire and creates a new heaven and earth, for they hate God so much they refuse to stop cursing Him, regardless of what He does to prove how hot beyond imagination Hell and the lake of fire will be, but these God-haters become so enraged, they can only curse God and rebel against His trying to show them this is only a small taste of what will happen when they are cast into the lake of eternal fire, but as it is today, people refuse to listen to God’s daily warnings, by believing they and this present heaven and earth will continue forever, but Scripture does not support their false belief, so beware of false thinking that cannot be proved by God’s word.
If we think this present administration is wicked, and God-hating, just wait a while, for this will be Sunday school compared to what is coming, this present world is corrupt enough, but what is coming will be far worse than any of us can imagine, yet God wrote it in His word, called “The Bible”, several thousand years ago, and daily we see it all coming true exactly as God’s word, the Bible, the Scriptures, say. There is no excuse for not being right with God, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, and ready to go when Christ comes to call His bride, His body, the worldwide church, to come up where He is, to be with Him forever (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17).
These Scripture references are excited reading to Christians, those who have the witness of the Holy Spirit, in Romans 8:12-17, they truly are God’s child, but it is frightful reading to those who claim to be a Christian, but do not live in agreement with God’s word, because the Holy Spirit has never given them His witnessing proof, they really are a legal child and heir of God.
