Clothed With Humility

Please, please, listen carefully and obey 2 Chronicles 20:14-15, when we are “sinning”, by trying, in our own strength, to break free from some addiction, habit, or solve some problem of any kind, 14 Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, during the assembly. 15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s’ “.

Also, please listen and obey 1 Peter 5:5-11, remembering “the battle is God’s and not ours, to overcome anything, because Jesus, the resurrected Christ says, in John 16:31-33 and 1 John 5:4-5, He has already overcome all the lustful desires of the world for us, so now we have Him, our Peace, as He says in Ephesians 2:13-14, so turn everything over to Christ Jesus, who has already overcome all this for us, but to try overcoming these things on our own, is disobedient sin.

1 Peter 5:5-11—5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.””6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

John 16:31-33—31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 These things, I have spoken to you, that in Me you MAY HAVE peace (if you let Me be your Peace). In the world you WILL HAVE tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

1 John 5:4-5—4 For whatever (our faith in Christ Jesus, God’s Son) is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that HAS overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes Jesus is the Son of God?

Ephesians 2:13-14—13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

Repeatedly God tells us in His word, He did not create us to overcome trauma, for His plan and will is for us to turn all our problems, regardless of what they are, over to Him, for He already had them solved, before creation, as He tells us in Ephesians 1:3-10, so obey Him.

Ephesians 1:3-10—3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

We will need to tell God, in the name of the Lord Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, we are giving all our problems to Him, in obedience to His word, several times each day, until He gives us the faith to receive it, so do not give up, keep at it daily, for at God’s preset time, it will happen (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

In the name of the Lord Jesus, I send to you the Spirit of Sweet Rest, Relaxation, and Peace, so each night you can sleep in Perfect Peace, as commanded by Christ.
