Activate Trust, Not Doubt

Habakkuk 3:17-19 assures us God still blesses our faith in Him by providing for us, even when the fig tree does not blossom or have fruit, as we learn from Jesus’ parable of the fruitless fig tree in Matthew 21:18-22 and Luke 13:6-9, for Jesus tells us why the fig tree was fruitless—it was planted in the wrong kind of soil, as was the “seed, word” in Luke 8:11-15, planted in four different kinds of soil, and the results of each planting, for God’s word securely planted in the right kind of soil (heart or human spirit), produces the kind of harvest God wills to happen (Isaiah 55:8-13), even though God’s word may take time to produce the harvest He desires.

Habakkuk 3:17-19—17 Though the fig tree may not blossom, or fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.

Jesus shows in Matthew 21:18-22, His faith must be in the proper heart of the right person for it to produce an abundant harvest; otherwise,

Matthew 21:18-22—18 Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. 19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away. 20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?” 21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Everything is either from faith of it is sin (Romans 14:23); thus, Faith that works through love (GaGod’s promises are received before God’s word is belatians 5:6) must believe God’s word until received; otherwise, it is sin and not faith, for sin waits until lieved, so it is sin and not faith.

In Luke 13:6-9, the fig tree was planted in a vineyard instead of in an orchard; thus, the tree tried to produce figs and the soil tried to supply nutrients to produce grapes, so the fault was not in the fig tree or the grape producing soil, but in the keeper of the vineyard, for not knowing fig trees only produce fruit when planted in an orchard, where the soil is right for fruit bearing.

Luke 13:6-9—6 He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 7 Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ 8 But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. 9 And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ “

Luke 8:11-15—11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. 14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. 15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

John 15:1-17 is Jesus’ command to get in Him and stay in Him, for we cannot produce fruit (become mature Christians), unless we get in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30-31; 1 John 5:1-5), and remain in Him; otherwise, we will end up in hell’s lake of fire.

Luke 21:29-38 is Jesus’ parable of the fig tree, revealing the knowledge of the “end time”, when those things written in God’s word begin to happen, as they are now, so we know the coming of a one world government, currency, antichrist, and the catching away of Christians, is near, as explained in Revelation 6:12-17, so be ready, have God’s word securely imbedded in the heart, so it comes out the mouth, to bless and lovingly warn people of Christ’s soon coming.
