We’ve been Made Right With God

Wisdom comes from God, through Christ Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, for 1 Corinthians 1:20-31 says “preaching Christ crucified, resurrected, and living” is to Jews “a stumbling block” and to Gentiles, “foolishness”, but to believing Christians, it is “the wisdom of God”, because “Christ Jesus is our wisdom and knowledge”, for Jesus, in John 16:13-15 assures us the Holy Spirit, “the Spirit of truth, will guide us into all truth” and “tell us things to come”; likewise, 1 John 2:18-27 assures us we have an anointing (empowerment) from the Holy Spirit to know what Father God, and Christ Jesus, want Him to tell us, so we are not deceived by the satanic forces, because we know Christ Jesus is our knowledge, wisdom, and the Holy Spirit warns us of things to come.

1 Corinthians 1:20-31 (NLT)—20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. 21 Since God in his wisdom saw the world would never know Him through human wisdom, He has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. 22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. 23 So when we preach Christ crucified, the Jews are offended, and the Gentiles say it is all nonsense. 24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 This foolish plan of God (preaching Christ) is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness (peaching Christ) is stronger than the greatest of human strength. 26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. 29 As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. 30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin. 31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.”

John 16:13-15 (NLT)—13 When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. 14 He will bring Me glory by telling you whatever He receives from Me. 15 All that belongs to the Father is Mine; therefore, I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever He receives from Me.’

1 John 2:18-27 (NLT)—18 Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know the last hour has come. 19 These people left our churches, but they never really belonged with us; otherwise, they would have stayed with us. When they left, it proved they did not belong with us. 20 But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you His Spirit, and all of you know the truth. 21 So I am writing to you not because you do not know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies. 22 And who is a liar? Anyone who says Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. 23 Anyone who denies the Son does not have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 24 So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 25 And in this fellowship, we enjoy the eternal life He promised us. 26 I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray. 27 But you have received the Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, so you do not need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what He teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as He has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.

True Christians, who are in Christ Jesus, and listen to and obey the Holy Spirit, will not be deceived by the satanic forces, who by deceptive lies and fear of death, try to pull us away from Christ Jesus, so they can control us, but instead, we listen to and obey the Holy Spirit’s anointing, so we have Christ’s knowledge and wisdom, to believe God and not the satanic forces.

Therefore, be cautious and do not let “authoritative bullies” control you, to separate you from believing and obeying God and His word, regardless of their “control by bulling”.
