Jesus, in Matthew 18:15-20, explains how to deal with sin against a church member, and Jesus explains three essential parts of dealing with sin against a church member: First, try to get the offending person to stop the sin against another; second, but if that fails, use the Lord’s authority and power to bind (imprison) or loose (liberate), and third, ask two or three praying Christians to agree with us, to give the sinning person to God, through Christ Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, and let Him deal with the person.
Matthew 18:15-20—15 “If your brother or sister sins against you, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. 18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again, truly I tell you if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Just reading Jesus’ directions in Matthew 18:15-20, we might not fully understand just how essential Jesus’ words in verse 18 are, 18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”. But when we see it in our daily lifestyle—for we cannot stop people who do not think the way we think, from saying and doing how they think—therefore, we must always be prayed-up and full of God’s love, so we refuse to accept what they say and do that would separate us from the Holy Spirit’s power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), so Christ would no longer be our Righteousness, Peace, and Joy, in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:13-14; Romans 14:17); therefore, by being filled with God’s fullness (Ephesians 3:14-21), we remain in God’s Peace surpassing all understanding, guarding our heart and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Every day, in every situation, we face what otherwise would be traumatic situations, caused by people who simply do not think the way we think, but instead of their thinking, saying, and doing, allows us to be traumatized, we instead refuse to allow it to separate us from God’s fullness of forgiving love, and the Holy Spirit’s power, love, sound mind, righteousness, peace, and joy, so we actually profit from the experience, rather than being traumatized by it—and yes, I know this is not the way most people think, speak, and act, but this is the way God expects all Christians to think, speak, and act, for this is why He gives us His Holy Spirit, so live and walk in the Holy Spirit, and life will be so peaceful and enjoyable.
Also use this method to reject the satanic “symptoms” that he wants to become “sickness”, for God gives us the right to choose to receive or reject whatever the satanic spirits tempt us with.
Jesus says in John 14:13, whatever we ask in His name, He will do, so ask Him in His name to remove from you anything and everything that can cause you not to love and forgive someone, and then trust Him to do it for you, for He said He would, so He will. Use this for everything.
