Living In Agreement With God’s word

Breaking free from addictions is a heart and mouth cooperation, for we always say what is in our heart, our human spirit, as we learn from Jesus, in Luke 6:43-45; therefore, the more we “testify” about our “sin bondage”, out of which God brought us, by telling all the graphic details of our sin, the more “our mouth” satisfies the “lust” to return to our sin; thus, we “continue to struggle” with “sinful desires”, not realizing “our detailed testimony” keeps our mind in bondage.

Moses, in Exodus 4:10-17, did not want to obey God and go back to King Pharoah to tell him God wanted him to release the Israelites; thus, Moses argued with God, so God explained to Moses He made people’s mouth, so He could “put His words in our mouth”, but Moses was not persuaded, so God told Moses to “put the same words in his brother, Aaron’s mouth, God put in Moses’ mouth”, so Aaron could tell the king what God told Moses, but this was not God’s plan or will, for God wants to speak directly to us and us speak God’s words to people.

We forget or do not know from the “word-picture” of 1 Kings 22:1-28, the Lord God sits on His throne, with the satanic spirits on His left and His faithful angelic spirits on His right, and they do for Him whatever is His plan and will; whereby, He, by them, “puts words in the mouth of the righteous or evil, so they do His plan and will”, for God still owns and controls everything He created, which is why “our mouth” can get us into trouble or out of trouble, for our “mouth”, “our tongue” can speak words of life or words of death, as we learn from Proverbs 6:1-5; 16:23; 18:21, and 21:23.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 and James 4:13-17 warn us it is far better not to tell God “We will do or not do something” and then our words be false, for the more we speak, the more easily we sin with “our wordy mouth”, so be very careful what we “promise to do or never do”, for God expects us to keep our promises, in the same way He keeps His promises.

In Jeremiah 1:1-19, the LORD “put His words in Jeremiah’s mouth”, so Jeremiah would speak God’s words to the people, instructing them in God’s plan and will for their lives, and this is what our Lord God still does to all who have a close, intimate, loving, obedient relationship with Him, through Bible study and prayer, for God intended for His people to have a “two-way” dialogue with Him, so we know His plans and will for us, which is why God never allows people to be “His witness of our salvation, His child, our eternal life in Christ”, for Romans 8:12-17 says this is the responsibility of the Holy Spirit and not “well-meaning people”.

Jesus, in Matthew 4:1-4, told Satan, the tempting devil, we are to live in agreement with God’s word, and not by our earthly appetites, and in Luke 6:43-45, Jesus uses a “word-picture” or a fruit tree to illustrate how our “outspoken words” reveal the “secrets of our heart”, our human spirit, so the more “detailed” is “our testimony of deliverance from sin”, the more we “relive” our “bondage to sin and the more we struggle with it”, so leave out the “details” and simply give God, through Christ Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, praise, thanks, and worship, for delivering us from sin’s bondage, by telling others still in “sin’s bondage”, God can also deliver them, if they want Him to and are willing to do what God tells them, for God can make the impossible to become possible, in any situation, so ask Him, thank Him, and trust Him to do it for you.
