When reading our Bibles, there are some, at times, “mystery Scriptures”, making us wonder how the biblical writers knew this information, years in advance of it happening, such as John 12:37-41, of the Prophet Isaiah, in the Old Testament, seeing Christ Jesus’ glory at His death on the cross, burial, and resurrection, and even spoke of Christ Jesus, or how Moses, in Genesis 1-2, could know and write the daily details of how God created the universe, but to us who know God personally, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, it is understandable, because this is our life. John 12:37-41—37 But although He (Jesus) had done so many signs before them (some at the Feast of Passover), they did not believe in Him, 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” 39 Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: 40 “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.” 41 These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.
Revelation 1:9-20, describes how and why the Apostle John was able to write the Book of Revelation, perfectly describing details of what God showed Him concerning Christ Jesus in the last days, some of which, are just now coming to fruition, after so many thousands of years after John wrote “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 1:1-3)—John wrote what he saw in the only way he knew how to describe things and events he had never heard, seen, or known.
Revelation 1:9-20—9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.” 12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. 19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.
20 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches”. This is not a mystery to me, for almost daily, the Holy Spirit “dictates” or “downloads” verses of Scripture and how they fit together to form a biblical truth, and I sit at the computer and write what comes to me, and I always sit here amazingly astonished at how Father God, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, can give me these writings, and for a few years I ask Him how He could do this, until one day, He said to me, “I am only going to tell you this once, and do not ask Me again: It is because I am God, and that is all you need to know”. All through the Bible, God simply makes amazing statements, declaring information or correction, and simply ending it with, “I am the LORD”; nothing else, for that is all the reasoning we need for what He says (Leviticus 19:9-18). We read the Book of Ezekiel and learn he “saw visions of God”, and God’s explanations of what He wanted Ezekiel to write, but some of these details are “historical facts”, but they were first written in God’s Bible, by people, long before any of this ever happened, and some, like Moses, long after it happened—because God is The “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:13-14).
God, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, reveals to whom and what He wills to reveal, as He did to the Apostle Paul, and even the Apostle Peter, in 2 Peter 3:14-18, said some of Paul’s writings are “hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures” (verse 16). This writing, #302, to be posted Saturday 2-18-2023, was written Wednesday 9-1-2021, and even though these posts were written over a year before you read them, they will still fit the occasion, for God never changes; He sees the past, present, and future, as one, for they are all the present with Him; therefore, Ephesians 1:3-14, reveals pre-creation, Calvary, the resurrection, and the end time, all as one in God’s mind, so when you read this post, thank God for His knowledge, to reveal “things that otherwise would be unknows to us”. God is so marvelously amazing! Every “legal and obedient Christian”, the members of Christ’s body, the church, learn from all the other body members, for 1 Corinthians 12:22-31, says we do.
