God’s Righteous Judgment

The Apostle Paul uses Romans 1:18-25 to explain God’s righteous judgment, in chapter two of Romans, on anyone judging wicked people, yet either doing or approving that wickedness, for God’s righteous judgment agrees with His truth against those who do wicked things or approve of others that do wicked things.

Romans 1:18-25—18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Romans 2:1-16 explains when we despise God’s rich goodness, forbearance (restraint), and longsuffering, it proves our ignorance of how God uses His rich goodness to lead us to repentance; thus, when we despise His rich goodness, it separates God and us, so He cannot lead us to repentance, salvation, daily blessings, and eternal life in and with Jesus Christ. When we refuse God’s plan and will for His creation, we forfeit everything Jesus Christ gave His life so we could have God’s best (2 Peter 1:2-4)—all His great and precious promises, so we could have His divine nature, or become what He is.

Romans 2:17-24 is God showing those who despise His rich goodness, are wicked, whether they are Jews or Gentiles, it does not matter what nationality we claim, “sin is sin for everyone”, “to the Jew first and also to the Gentile”, for God does not show favoritism to anyone, so when we sin, we face God’s judgment, at His time, and in His way, which might appear God has forgotten our wickedness, but Hebrews 6:17-18 assures us “It is impossible for God to lie”; thus, sin will always reap God’s wrathful judgment, so DO NOT SIN!!!!

Sin can be unintentional disobeying God and His word, or intentionally disobeying God and His word, either way sin receives God’s judgment, whether intentional or unintentional, for “sin is sin to everyone”.

Romans 2:25-28 warns us circumcision, communion, water baptism, foot washing, going to confession, or any outward self-help doctrinal rituals will eliminate God’s wrathful judgment for our sin; only humble repentance before God, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, will do that, so do not think God’s great grace will ever allow anyone to sin and not reap God’s judgment.

God hates sin of any kind, for sin is why Jesus, God in the flesh, took the thirty-nine stripes on His back, took the three nails in His hands and feet, while wearing the crown of thorns on His head that had been pounded into his head, so never think God’s wrathful judgment will not be poured out on anyone that sins intentionally or unintentionally, for “God cannot lie”, and He will judge anyone who sins and does not repent and receive His forgiveness for that sin.

God never gets mad at anyone, but God will not tolerate sin of any kind, in anyone, for 1 John 3:4-9 says, sin originated in Satan, the devil, d evil 1, and Jesus Christ came to destroy Satan, the devil’s works (sin); therefor, God reveals why He despises sin and why Jesus died a horrible death to destroy every sin Satan, the devil, persuades us to commit, to dishonor God, and keep Jesus Christ from destroying the sin-nature in every human being. Sin may appear harmless to us, but sin definitely is not harmless to God, who died a horrible death to destroy, so love God, obey God and His word, and become so full of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit, so we see sin through God’s eyes and lose all desire to sin.
